Hot carrier effects in n-MOSFETs with SiO2/HfO2/HfSiO gate stack and TaN metal gate

Charge trapping and trap generation in field-effect transistors with SiO2/HfO2/HfSiO gate stack and TaN metal gate electrode are investigated under uniform and non-uniform charge injection along the channel. Compared to constant voltage stress (CVS), hot carrier stress (HCS) exhibits more severe degradation in transconductance and subthreshold swing. By applying a detrapping bias, it is demonstrated that charge trapping induced degradation is reversible during CVS, while the damage is permanent for hot carrier injection case. © 2008 Elsevier B.V. Study of elution behaviour with gradient voltage in CEC using methacrylate monolithic columns.

A theoretical study on the retention behaviour and chromatographic performance of neutral solutes using a lauryl methacrylate-based monolithic column under voltage gradient mode in CEC was carried out. Through a flexible mathematical function based on a modified Gaussian model, the peak shape of compounds was firstly fitted under constant and gradient voltage. Using the peak shape parameters and retention time, the estimation of global chromatographic performance, efficiency and peak capacity under several voltage conditions was performed. Speed control of double-sided linear induction motors for automated manufacturing systems

The double-sided linear induction motor (DLIM) is acquiring a significant relevance in the application of automated manufacturing systems. For this purpose, the modeling, simulation and determination of the parameters of a double-sided linear induction motor is presented in this paper. Furthermore, the DLIM constant voltage/frequency speed control system for this application is here described. In order to verify the performance of the proposed system, a suitable test bench for the DLIM motor is set-up. A new technique for partial discharges measurement under DC periodic stress

The aim of the present work is to recognize the type of defect in insulating materials employed in DC electrical systems. This analysis, under AC stress, is carried out by using the Phase Resolved method (PRPD). While, under constant voltage stress this method cannot be performed and measurements show complexities. In order to overcome these problems, a new technique is proposed, based on the application of a periodic continuous waveform.
